I have extensive experience and knowledge in working to improve the quality of life for our communities. I have dedicated much time working to make our city a better place to live.

I earned a master’s degree in City Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a graduate certificate in Gerontology from Georgia State University. I also earned bachelors' degrees in Government and Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.

I currently serve on the Dunwoody Planning Commission, where I have the opportunity to listen to Dunwoody residents and work towards building consensus. Prior to that, I had served for many years on our neighborhood Women’s Club board. I also served on the Dunwoody Homeowners Association board.

I was appointed by then-Governor Sonny Perdue to the Master Teacher and Academic Coach Implementation Committee as his parent representative. I also served as the Vice-Chair of the Citizen Planning Task Force for DeKalb County Schools.

I have been married to my husband, Barry, for 23 years. Together, we have three wonderful children; Benjamin, a graduate of Dunwoody High School and a sophomore at Texas A&M University, Michael, a sophomore at St. Francis High School and Rebecca, a fifth-grader at Dunwoody Elementary School. We also have a rambunctious dog named Chloe.
